It’s time for another Q&A, where we show you the many faces of our Shelving Inc. team. As a small, family-owned company, every single member is integral to our success.

Today’s feature: Robbie Fowler.

Growing up in Roseville, MI, Robbie started working in the Shelving Inc. warehouse in 2017. Beginning in the packing of orders, he’s continued to learn and grow in the position. He’s now integral to the warehouse – pulling orders, creating labels, efficiently stacking packages on pallets, and shipping them out, as well as assisting with important tracking and organizational tasks.

During his time here, he’s most proud of continuing to climb the ladder at the company, learning the ins and outs of the industry.

Rapid Fire:

  • Person you’d like to be for a day: Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson
  • Dream destination: Rome, Italy
  • Sweet or salty: Sweet
  • Favorite junk food: Fritos Honey BBQ Twists
  • Biggest phobia: Being buried alive

As far as future aspirations go, Robbie hopes to soon buy a house closer to work.

Outside of work, you can find Robbie playing guitar, video games, or card games like Euchre or Texas Hold’em. A social person, he’s happiest when spending time with friends.

Many may not know he was an avid karaoke singer and host for about 8 years. He started occasionally singing through a good friend that hosted and was eventually offered a job. It quickly became a passion of his – as he enjoyed meeting new people and traveling to different locations.

It also helped broaden his horizon music, exposing him to different genres. His favorites to sing are old classics like “Runaround Sue”, “Lean on Me”, and crowd pleasers like “Sweet Caroline”.

Looking back at this experience, one of his most memorable moments was when the lead singer of the 90’s band Sponge unexpectedly stopped by the bar. Letting him sing a spontaneous set, Robbie – as well as the audience – had a great time.

That’s all for now! Stay tuned for the next Q&A in the coming weeks.
