It’s hard to believe it’s 2017, let alone our 47th annual Earth Day in the United States. For good reason, Earth Day was created to motivate Americans to make smarter decisions involving our environment and planet. At Shelving Inc, we do our best to help the earth everyday, and especially for Earth Day. Below is a list of how we help prevent waste and go green:

• In 2015 we installed LED lighting in our warehouses to reduce energy usage. Not only is it efficient, but it makes our facility super bright! • Last year, we installed dishwashers in both of our locations so employees reduced using disposable dishes. We also encourage everyone to recycle their waste and have several bins to ensure it happens whenever possible.
• Because we sell a product that is packaged in cardboard, we use and see a lot of it. Our shipping department tries their hardest to repurpose any packaging so that very little goes to waste. Any metal or packaging we cannot re-use is recycled.
• We are proud to sell Way Basics storage cubes, which happen to be made entirely out of recycled paper. Not only do these cubes and furniture re-use otherwise wasted material, but they are recyclable on their own!
