We’re back with another edition of Q&A by the Coffee Machine, where we’re taking a quick break to chat with different staff members here at Shelving, Inc.

Today, we talked to none other than: Molly Kage!

Before Shelving, Inc., Molly lived in California for five years. Attending The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles, she learned the process of buying and allocating merchandise, as well as how to work effectively with different personalities types.

She’s now been a Digital Merchandiser with us since 2017, adding and maintaining products on our websites. She’s also the liaison between our sales, shipping and customer service departments, making sure everything runs smoothly.

Outside of work, you can find her in the kitchen whipping up homemade soups or something from her Chrissy Teigen cookbooks. Big on astrology, she also enjoys learning about different signs and how they translate to people’s personalities.

Rapid Fire:

  • Favorite junk food: Gummy bears
  • Your motto or personal mantra: “It is what it is.”
  • Cuddle with a baby panda or a baby penguin: Panda
  • Favorite place you’ve traveled: Seoul, South Korea
  • Last TV show you watched: Vanderpump Rules

If she had to give a 45-minute presentation on something with absolutely no preparation, she’d choose reality TV. A reality show junkie, she finds it fascinating even though she knows it’s often staged. She could also talk about fashion, as there are so many aspects of itfrom different trends to the lengthy process of making clothing.

As far as future aspirations go, she’d love to become an astronaut and travel to outer space. Or beat the current Guinness World Record for owning the most dogs.

Here at work, she’s proud of implementing an entirely new product line (New Age Industrial Indoor Agriculture) from start to finish. She was happy to help Shelving, Inc. expand their offerings and looks forward to seeing where the company goes next.

Come back in a few weeks for another Q&A!
