We recently partnered with RC Driver, one of the largest influencers in the radio control model industry. Sharing projects, tips, and how to’s in his workshop, RC Driver wanted to create a more functional, organized workspace.

With the RC hobby comes many items – like remote control cars, chargers, and radios. While his original storage looked good, it did not fully suit his needs. The shelving he had purchased from a big box retailer didn’t quite fit the space, and certain areas of the shop went unused. That’s where Shelving.com came in!

After discussing his specific storage needs and space dimensions, we provided RC Driver with a variety of products – reoutfitting his studio with shelving to optimize every inch of space. Before, RC Driver’s main storage wall held shelving of different sizes that did not properly fit the space.

Now, his shelving is customized to fit the exact dimensions of his wall. RC Driver opted to use one 5-shelf chrome wire shelving unit – adding an additional wire shelf for added storage. He also added two 3-shelf wire shelving units.

He chose to add casters to these units, creating mobile storage in case he required moving them to a new location. He also added a few colored shelf liners to his units, choosing a blue color similar to his brand color.

In another location of his workshop, RC Driver had a large workbench – and the space underneath went unused, with boxes piled on top of each other.

We provided two 2-shelf wire shelving units in order to create organized, easy-to-access storage. When working with limited space, the key is looking high and low for areas to optimize.

RC Driver also needed help developing a storage solution for his radios – which originally took up valuable space on the workbench.

We choose to provide a wall-mounted wire shelving unit to display them. In order to prevent the radios from sitting uneven on the wire rungs, we also added a translucent wire shelf liner to create a solid surface.

We provided another small 2-shelf wire shelving unit to store his chargers. Before, these products cluttered up his work surface. They are now organized and easy to grab.
